About Charmain
Charmain is a RYT-200 certified yoga instructor, educator and communications specialist with a passion for family, good music and living well. She was a new mom of two and elementary school teacher when she began her journey into yoga. Feeling pulled in multiple directions to constantly give to others, Charmain initially turned to yoga for the physical benefits and “me time”. After her first class, Charmain experienced a sense of peace and emotional well-being that continued to bring her back to the mat.
In March 2020, the coronavirus pandemic caused businesses and public entities to shut down creating a sense of uncertainty in the world. Charmain immediately felt compelled to extend the healing benefits of her yoga practice on her social media platforms. With no plan to start a small business at the time, the online platform, One2Zen has since become a safe space for people to breathe and connect with their true selves. Having worked with hundreds of clients and numerous organizations, this virtual sanctuary has translated into a new-found lifestyle for individuals nationwide.
With her background in Communications, Charmain spends her weekdays consulting with clients and writing for the national publication, Diversity Professional Magazine. When she is not in her office or on the mat teaching, you can find Charmain spending time with her family, volunteering at her children’s schools or attending a sporting event for one of her three sons. For several years Charmain has traveled to host live community events in yoga, meditation and mindfulness, across the nation. With a desire to help others find inner peace and strong belief that there are lessons in all experiences, Charmain tends to find the “beauty” in everything and is reminded daily that she is walking her path.
